Lots of clothes

I just went through and cleaned out B's pants, and brought all bigger-sized ones out of storage. Now, I have a bunch of 4t stuff to try and get rid of. I tried doing Once Upon A Child a few weeks ago, but they hardly took anything. So, what do I do with it? Craigslist? Ebay?

I've never sold anything on Ebay before. This whole venture is about doing something new for me, so I'd better figure it out. Anyone have any tips for me?

I Did It!

They went! The hall rugs went to the dumpster on Christmas Eve! I also dumped out a container of old sponges and other kitchen sink-type cleaning things that have been sitting there, unused, for several years. Hmmm, maybe I should start taking pictures of stuff that is going buh-bye.

I started working on straightening up the office/kids' art supply/spare bedroom before my mom gets here tomorrow. I ended up going through old clothes of the boys' I've been putting in garage sales the past few years, but am still stuck with. I even took a bunch to Once Upon a Child, and they gave 90% of it back to me. I'm re-sorting it by size to give to Keith's cousin and another friend of ours who have little boys and can hopefully use them. I have got to stop saving stuff for garage sales!

I hope everyone had a GREAT Christmas!

Am I Nuts?

It's Christmas week! And I want to start a new resolution now? Did I mention we received a couple more inches of snow last night, and are under a Winter Storm Warning for 3 days over Christmas? I must be out of my mind!

At least I know what's going first - the hallway rugs. They are forever ending up in a ball in someone's room so the boys can play hockey. They are more hassle than they are worth. Now I just have to get them to the dumpster...

My First Day

I am a pack rat. There, I said it.

My husband told our 5 year old son the other day he was worse than me. That is a very bad thing!

I am a pack rat, I also am probably adult ADD, and slightly OCD. OK, maybe more than slightly. Decluttering in one fell swoop is very difficult for me - I cannot concentrate on that much stuff, and I get overwhelemed very easily. I have decided I am going to start finding one thing a day I can live without - it may be one item that gets tossed or donated, or something that gets moved to a new home, like the stack of Twilight books that have been on my headboard for the past two months (among many other things that do not need to be there).

Welcome to my world, and wish me luck!
